Hey peeps. After the doofus upstairs figured out he could secure his wireless connection, I was out of business as far as the internet world goes. I used to refer to him as the dear soul that was unknowingly sharing his internet with us, but now I will call him doofus. JK I really don't blame him. I was making almost daily trips to the Weehawken Library to use the internet, which isn't an upleasant place, but it was becoming taxing now that it takes me upwards of an hour to get both of us ready to leave the house. (Can't forget the burp cloth, or the emergency bottle and formula, or the wipes, or diapers, or binky ... dear goodness, I don't even want to think about what would happen if I forgot the binky!!!) Well, I finally broke down and purchased internet service for what I think is the first time in my adult life. So far, it's worth it, in fact I'm a little bit giddy right now :)
Cohen has changed a lot in the last month. At about 4 weeks he lost all of his hair on top -- his head was like shiny bald for a long time -- and now, thank heavens, he is getting a new crop in. The little bit of baby acne has mostly departed, and the biggest development is his cute little smile is quite intentional now. He is definitely a night owl, and he is quite stubborn, just like me.
This picture he was about 6 weeks old:
We were able to have a great trip to Utah recently, and Cohen met a bunch of the family for the very first time. I think it was probably the best Utah trip we've had so far -- I know this because Norm and I were still talking to eachother when it was over.
Here are some of the highlights...
Cohen making great first impressions :)
Lunch with the aunts and cousins at Archibald's -- yummm.
Roller skating at Classic -- it looks EXACTLY like it did 12 years ago, even the same spunky carpet.
Norm getting THIS out of his system -- for a while.
Loving baths in Grandma Sharp's tiny trailer sink.

I'm going back and forth looking at Norm on the bike, then Norm giving his son a bath, Norm on the bike (with no helmet), then Norm giving his son a bath. Call me a meddling Mom, but the no helmet thing bothers me after you have kids. It's because I love you guys.
PS the last one of Norm and Cohen is too cute!
I'm guessing that Aunt Chrissy is your sister if not your twin. Seriously, she looks exactly like you. Looks like you had a really fun trip. And love the bathing in the trailer pics. So cute!
Is that the Classic Skate in Orem? (or maybe there are more Classic skating rinks in Utah?) It brought back a LOT of memories from my BYU days of disco skating - mostly scary memories that I should forget. :)
Yup. That kid makes me happy. I have had to go through "Cohen Withdrawal" (technical term) since being home. My symptoms are gratuitous sighing, arms held in the cradling position, and an onslaught of baby talk. I need my fix, and soon.
but helmets are so dorky...plus it is well understood that if you're going to die, doing it on a motorcycle is one of the best ways to go.
Rachel, Cohen is so cute! He has such a cute smile. He looks like both of you to me. Glad you had a fun trip!
