Oooh, I'm so scared....

Ventures outside of the house have been a rare occasion lately -- but last weekend we decided to go check out Sleepy Hollow at the recommendation of several friends. It actually happens to only be about 40 minutes away. So we get to the cemetery, and who do we see up on the hillside? .......

The legendary Headless Horseman! He started to chase us, but lucky for us it was easy to hide because well, he doesn't have a head.

JK folks, all an optical illusion, see? Aren't I clever? This is my "ooh, I'm so scared" face.

First of all, I quickly realized that Sleepy Hollow is pretty darn neat -- but only because it was day time -- if it were dark I would be saying it was pretty darn scary. The cemetary is huge, and hilly, and really really old -- ideal in terms of creepyness.

There were a lot of mausoleums, many of which you could peer into if you dared. I peeked into one, but ran away because it totally seemed like a bony undead hand would grab me and pull me in ANY second. (I have a very vivid imagination when I am afraid.) Here is Norm and Cohen being way more brave than me.

I thought this was a really scary looking one. How much money would it take for you to stay a night in there? I really don't think I could, even for a million dollars.

This is Cohen, pretending to be asleep so we won't know how excited he is to be here.

Can't you just picture the tops of these sliding open ! AHHH!

I just took a picture of this guy's because I thought his name was unfortunate -- "BUTMAN"

This is Carnegie's headstone -- apparently he was slightly less vain than the next guy...

Mr. Rockefeller's mausoleum is larger than all of the apartments I've ever lived in, put together. Why all the square footage? You're dead.

Yeah! I thought it was such a great little place to get away to. The cemetery was really big and interesting, you are right. Good pictures!

I Saw Mr. Butman's head stone/monument as well. I think I might of left my name off if I was him.

I had no idea Sleepy Hollow was an actual place, just thought it was a tall tale. That's cool you got to visit it and it's true, it looks totally creepy from your pictures.

On a different note, your little boy is adorable.
